May 6--Moab, Utah

Well, our jeeping adventures started today! We jeeped the Kane Creek trail from Moab to Hurrah Pass (14 miles) and then connected to the Chicken Corner trail (11.2) one way. We spent all day driving 50 miles, but it was indescribably beautiful--redstone bluffs and rim views of the Colorado river. It was quite an experience! I kept looking at the road (if you can call it that) and saying "oooh, boy"; and Gary would say "piece of cake". All three of us (Gary, me and the jeep) made it back to camp without body damage so it was a very successful day of adventure.
Pictures are along this trail with views of the Colorado river. Note the jeep in picture 3.

  1. It is so awesome that you can get to all these places that you couldn't otherwise access. Beautiful! And I'm glad no one sustained any body damage. That made me laugh!
